Synopsis

A quirky comedy from the screenwriter of Tale of Tales (CIF2016) and Gomorrah starring Silvio Orlando (The Young Pope). It’s a perfect comedy about an almost perfect town!

Pietramezzana, located high up in the stunning mountains of Southern Italy, has become a ghost town. Most of the young people have gone, leaving just a small group of ex-miners, unemployed after the closure of the local mine. But when the opening of a new factory is announced, it could be the solution to all the town’s problems. There cannot be a factory without a local doctor, and the only physician around is a yuppie plastic surgeon from the North – Dr. Gianluca Terragni (Fabio Volo, Weddings and Other Disasters), who is stuck there temporarily. The miners must find a way to convince him to stay, but how could they ever make him forget all the comforts of a modern metropolis, such as wi-fi, sushi and jazz?

The determined villagers, led by the exuberant Domenico (Sydney) hatch a plan to convince him that theirs is truly the perfect town for him to live.
